Stomachache

“你要去哪裏？”一個平常、細想卻又如此深遠的問題。一個城市的發展和走向，常常體現在他所孕育的個體身上。我通過記錄大圍新翠商場一家有著三十余年歷史的藥店歷時兩個月的停業過程，試圖令觀者思考個人、群體、最終上升到香港，從當下過渡到未來的種種可能 —— 沈淪，一成不變，或是重生？藥店停業後，我直到搬離此地時，也未能看到商鋪的繼承者，或在別處找到它的重生之處。我不知道它的終結，但我開始思考我未來的何去何從。/ "Where are you going?" A routine but profound question. The development direction of a city is often reflected in the individuals that it raises. Through documenting the two-month closure process of a pharmacy in a Tai Wai community market, which owned a history of more than 30 years, I try to make the audience think of all transition possibilities of individuals, social groups, and ultimately Hong Kong, from now to the future – Fallen? Changeless? Or rebirth? After the pharmacy closed, I have not been able to see the successor of the shop slot or luckily found it to be reborn elsewhere, till I moved out of this community. I do not know the end of its story, but I am starting to think about where I am going.
